The word "Okizu" comes from the Sioux language, and means "to unify, to come together as one." Each summer hundreds of children are able to do just that while at Camp Okizu. They come together through laughter, play, hugs, song, tears, even more laughter, love, and the shared experience of childhood cancer in their lives. One special night each year we too are able to come together as members of the Okizu family in support of Okizu and the unconditional acceptance and support it provides.

Each dollar raised at Art Inspiring Hope goes directly to support a child's summer camp experience. Because of our low administrative costs, and all-volunteer camp staff during the summer, the funds we raise on this special night can be earmarked for camp operations. It is our goal to raise enough to send campers to both Oncology and SIBS (Special and Important Brothers and Sisters) Camp.

Funds raised go directly to provide peer support, respite, mentoring, and recreational programs to meet the needs of all members of families affected by childhood cancer. www.okizu.org
